Electrician/Approved Electrician
Due to an increase of secured projects and our on-going commitment to our direct customers , we are looking for an Electrician or Approved Electrician to join the Wadys team.
This is a great opportunity for someone to join a company established in 1959 with a fantastic reputation within the Bedfordshire area, working in many sectors including Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Care Homes and Commercial, servicing our clients’ requirements throughout Beds, Herts and Bucks.
The successful candidate would report directly to either an Electrical Supervisor or Contracts Manager and will be required to liaise with our regular clients, representing Wadys in a professional and helpful manner.
The main duties of this role will be to carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair to an array of electrical systems. The successful candidate will ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship and have at least 3 years’ experience as an electrician conducting works including modifying, fault finding, installation and testing in a commercial and industrial environment.
You must be able to work without supervision and use your own initiative as well as be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of BS7671 18th Edition, H&S requirements, applicable Building Regulations and general construction practices.
We are hoping for someone with the following qualifications and skill set:
Qualifications/Skills
- 18th Edition certificate BS7671
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- ECS Gold card
- C & G 2391 – (not essential)
- IPAF and PASMA – (not essential)
- Full driving licence
- Experience of the commercial and industrial installations

Basic Salary (excludes overtime & travel) This will range between £36,832.00 – £40,248.00 per annum
